Thanks, guys...You're right about my not saying anything or announcing the event. Not so much because I'm humble...more becasue I'm a little embarrassed that it took me so long and so many teams.. ...but I can't deny that I'm happy to have the ring...with ATG III on the horizon, I really thought I would have a ringless ATGII career...certainly had my chances with 10 play-offs and six finals..four down to game 7....but the SOM goddesses were not smiling on me until this last Stars and And Scrubs league...this championship team won only 83 games and was part of a three way tie in the division. I didn't even think I would make it to the play-offs!
Thanks to Dr X for being a great sport and worthy opponent in the finals. Thanks to all of you who left kind messages and notes. Honestly, the best part of winning the ring was the reaction of all the guys I've played against the last couple of years. You guys are great...thanks...and yes, Munich Man, I hope the ring-beast has been loosed, but one thing I've learned for sure in playing SOM ATG, is just when you think you "have it" the dice put you back in your place...Pete geos 0-5, Gehrig hits around the Mendoza line and HAL makes a mockery of your best laid plans.
Thank you, Thank you , Thank you
