looks like only me and genegrid got stuck in this old league, and IM THE ONE that suggested bailing, and I didn't want to screw up the divisions. oh well, can't wait to see THAT team, I know I had BANKS #1, but after that, no particular order since all b's were mine. yech. i'll try an emergency email to larry or someone at tsn, but i doubt they can get me out in time. Looks like I'll spend another 25 bucks to atleast give us eight teams. I vote AGAINST the p.o.y. P is practically a legit letter on it's own. Y has some superstars in yount, yaz, york and cy young. I suggested a companion letter for Y earlier, but I'll have to go back and look, but three letters is too much. if we get eleven entrants and no feasible letter is left over, I would suggest the remaining team be allowed the leftovers, especially if that was enough enticement to fill! what a mess!!!!!(atleast for me)

H is a viable letter untaken, with hornsby, horton, howard, hubbell, hughson, hughes, hernandez etc. and use all that pitching to play in huntington grounds. r is also a very strong letter if it's not already taken. e/f makes a good combo, and a strong team. I think Y should pick ONE other letter to join with, and then one more combo letter and we should have 12. anyone got an immediate pipeline to larry or someone at tsn who could pull me and genegrid out of our infested old league?

Meat, Searching by a single letter only works for the letters with few results. Try it for R and you won't see Ruth for example. It only goes down to Roseboro for the hitters.

Since you object to Y-O-P I will try to figure out something else and will get back to you with a proposal.

Gosh, that is a mess! That's too bad that two owners got their teams stuck in a tainted league. So, where are we in the actual league? How many teams have entered? Are there pre-set divisions, or just enter when you feel like it? I am going to start working on my S team in a few minutes...if my grandson allows me to! :)

Sorry to see you two got stuck :(

I hope you can get out in time. When I got in late last night I saw we were only one short and figured someone would take it before I got up, so I bailed.

lm...just feel like 'o' opens up too many extra studs...ott etc. although we haven't figured out whether oakland #24 counts as an 'o' or an h for henderson. I think the ruling on him and boston #21 should be the letter they're listed under which would be 'o' and 'b' in those cases, and I'm not using boston #21 on the b's by the way so it's not to benefit me. looking at y/p seems pretty good everywhere except 2b, although pankovits is a great hitter, just shaky d. L for the namesake LM bombers would free up lazerri, but might make too many other stud pitchers available, but seems alright to me. I still suggest we allow trades of unused players under our letters, especially to fill in huge voids in fielding a legitimate eight, or bullpen voids.

LMBombers, I don't have that trouble when I do a search by letters. I get all the R's, including Ruth, when I search for R, for example. Strange you don't. Something about our computers, maybe?

I don't have a problem making Y a companion of P since Y isn't deep. Although there are a couple of quality players, the $80 mil cap is sufficient limitation.

The league I joined only has three teams: Quantico G-Men 3, Lobstrocities of the Western C and my Willow Springs Wasps. I don't know what the other one is that you got stuck into, meat.

LM, I also tried found that same problem with Rs (I hadn't noticed it with other letters). Here's a solution: Go to where it cuts off and enter the first two letters, "Ro." Then search "Ru." (If you think there may be a "Ry" or other unusual combination later than "Ro," you can try that, too.)

I think we are going to have to come up with some good letter pairings that give owners a competitive chance, if we want to fill the last 4 or so spots. In my last Alphabet league, we had some huge letter pairings. As I mentioned earlier, I had the letters G, I, Q & E, for example. But, that was a $100m league, and we were allowed to trade and pick up players off of the FA wire that weren't in your letter groups. My understanding here is that we must stay pure to our letter groups all season.
