[quote:ec3d1c5cd4="Petrosian"]No you read it wrong. Against righties the new card has 2 walks less and .6 less hits than the 9.80 card. It also has better hitting, the 4N is much better than the 7N. On the other hand, he weakens an inning earlier on the new card. All things considered the new card is definitely worth more than .2 million more than the 9.8 M card; it's a significant upgrade. So the new card should be well over 10.[/quote:ec3d1c5cd4]

just a question, how is 4N better than 7N? I thought 7N was better?

21 hits 3 BBs on the 4
18.6 hits 3 BB's on the 7

the default for 4 is w the default for 7 is N

But the 4N is certainly nice although the 7 still has more power than the 4.

Actually, the 7N card has 4 walks, not 3. See the somonline wiki.

The batting value of the two cards is pretty close, and I could see how the extra HR on the 7N card would have value in this game. But realistically, he's not going to hit in many leagues, and the '09 pitching card has it all over the '05 one. Fewer hits, no walks, fewer extra base hits, fewer total bases.

I just drafted the Big Six in a theme league, and I have every intention of using the '09 card as my #1 starter.
