ATG III Teaser #3

Postby bernieh » Mon Jul 03, 2006 3:23 pm

Nev, where were you when I announced that ATG III will feature the option to play any of a number of pre-defined subsets of the master player pool, if you don't want to play with the entire pool, and then reminded everyone of that announcement 3 times?

I'm specifically addressing your past complaints... and you're not even listening! :)

If everyone got the players they want the determining factor would be who has the better judgment about what it is they want. Luck will always be the main factor in a short 162 game season so just factor that right out. Let's play some leagues where the same teams go for 10 straight seasons. That should even out the luck a bit.

You're a good man Bernie, and I'm glad you're on our side. :)

I think the best solution as far as stratagy and competition go, is 24 team league with a real World Series. :D

The simplest is to play lower cap leagues not allowing an all superstar line-up. :)

pre 1940, or American league teams only, any kind of theme leagues aren't my idea of mass consumption, you know I play 35+ at a time. :D 8) :D Leagues would take forever to fill, so I look at those leagues as a once in awhile distraction. I think for the majority of customers here, all is great!!!!

PS and I'll be just fine too. Thanks B. :) :) :)

Lajoie is easily 6.25 to 6.50M in ATG2 salary.

Joss is comparable to Three Finger Brown!

[quote:c6ae0dbb5e]The diversity of the eras is one of the things I love about ATG. When you start messing with that, all you are doing is substituting your best guess at how the game MIGHT have been for what it actually was. I'm sure the decision has already been made, but IMHO, it doesn't benefit the game.

I totally agree, I am against as a rule normalization of any statistic. This does nothing but to make deadball players more valuable than they already are and to eliminate an area of difference between era's. Any differences in era's should be addressed via proper pricing.

A great addition to the ATG lineup, good job Bernie! :D
