Shoot - Dave's in it - the way he's been pulling lotto numbers lately, just etch him into the #1 or #2 slot.

[quote:dd39772878]Okay here is the deal, we did this before ATG II came out. We will draft one player from every team, and build our roster from those players. We will draft from the current teams in one draft and from the new teams in another draft. We will use lotto numbers to determine the order of the first round. The highest will choose the first current team to choose from, while the lowest will draft from the first new team that was anounced. In the following round, whoever had the #1 pick will fall to the 12 pick. And the #1 pick will again choose the current team to be drafted from, and the other #1 will draft from the second team that was anounced.

I would like to do this as a 100 mil with DH but if the majority would rather do something else we can change that.

If you have questions just post them here and I will try to answer them. [/quote:dd39772878]

So, let me see if I've got this right.

-There will be two drafts, one for ATG II players and one for the new players

[b:dd39772878]For the ATG III new teams Draft[/b:dd39772878][/size:dd39772878]

-In the new player draft, based on the initial lottery position, we will each draft one player from the new teams, based upon the order that they are announced, in other words this order so far:

1. 1921 New York Giants
2. 1978 New York Yankees
3. 1906 Cleveland Naps
4. 1982 Atlanta Braves
5. 1966 Baltimore Orioles* (replaces '70 Orioles)
6. 1927 Pittsburgh Pirates
7. 1979 California Angels
8. 1961 New York Yankees
9. 1977 Texas Rangers

-For the second round of the new player draft, everybody moves up one draft slot and the previous #1 pick goes back to #12 pick, and so on...

Q - We will draft until we run out of teams announced? This part is a bit confusing because we don't know how many teams are coming. The only issue is that one owner could get 3 #1 picks and one owner could get stuck with only 1 #1 pick. Personally, I'd volunteer to go last right out of the gate if someone else doesn't want this fate. I'm not at all concerned about a lack of "talent"... :D [/color:dd39772878]

[b:dd39772878]For the ATG II current teams Draft[/b:dd39772878][/size:dd39772878]

-For the ATG II current teams draft, the #1 pick will select a team, and then a player and we will all draft players from that team in the reverse draft order of the new player draft.

-Then, for round #2, the order bumps up (#1 goes to #12), and a new team is selected and players are drafted, and so on and so on.

Q - How many rounds for this draft?
Q - Is it sort of a Russian Roulette game regarding teams that get bumped for new ATG III rosters? We already know the 1970 Orioles are done, but what to do when an already drafted team is bumped? This is unlikely, of course, since the better teams will likely be the ones selected first.[/color:dd39772878]

Bernie said there will be 14 more teams announced so that makes 23 new teams so everyone but 1 person will get 2 #1 picks, we can just let fate decide who comes up on the short end.

For the current teams we will draft from the first 48 teams which will give everyone 4 number 1 picks. And yes there is a chance that we could lose a team that is selected, but we will have 70 players to choose from, so I think we will be ok.

So this is the order for ATG III teams, and the reverse is for the ATG II teams?
