ATG III Team Teaser #11

Postby Free Radicals » Tue Jul 25, 2006 10:57 am

I would think the '59 Cubs stay . Banks only had 222 ab's and if the going trend to have great players in the game continues I wouldn't see them reducing an Ernie Banks great season for a poor one .

Two questions:
1) Do we get this Larry Gura or the Royals Gura that already exists?
2) In baseball-reference.com, I am guessing that a fielder with a range higher than the league average (ie Santo's 3.05 to 2.58) indicates a better fielder. So could I assume that Santo would be a 1? And thus, Kessenger might be as well? And Hickman would be a 2? And Williams might be a 3, but hey, he plays LF?

Just trying to figure the D out....

Palanion: In the 69 game Santo is 1e29 and Kessinger a 2e21 . It may not be exactly the same but should be comparable I would think .

This might be stupid but are these teams "in addition to" or "replacing" the ATG2 teams.

They are in addition to the current teams, except for the 1966 O's which are replacing the 1970 O's.

OK, stupid question #2... what happens if a guy is on an old team (say Mantle) and on a new team?

One of the cards would be chosen over the other. I think we would keep the '56 Mantle.

Bernie,

Is it a fair assumption that you had to do some special programming for the Cubs teams from this era? I assume we can expect player performance to drop off significantly in the last 30 or so games of the season in order to accurately replicate the season performance …… :)

Just seeing this team brings that famous Jack Brickhead jingle back to life … Hey Hey, Holy Mackerel, no doubt about it! The Cubs are on their way….. :D

LOL!
