i believe Larry Walker threw out Tony Fernandez of the Reds at Riverfront. Tony was NOT happy!! he stood at 1st and gave Walker the cut-eye for a minute or so. Tony did not hustle to first and thought his line drive was a given to 1st....KPOW Walker Superarm

He actually tried it again this season as well and just missed getting him. Can't remember who the batter was.

Yesterday afternoon, Jeff Francoeur threw out the A's Michael Taylor at 1b on a presumed base hit to right.........

According to the [url=http://www.kansascity.com/2011/09/07/3127264/francoeur-throws-batter-out-at.html]KC Star Story[/url], it was just the 5th time since 1974 that an AL outfielder has thrown out a runner at 1B. It's happened 31 times in the NL in that span, presumably because of pitchers hitting.

sorry taylor not howard. taylor played at stanford. frenchy robbed him of his 2 mlb hit. do we see another -6 in the works?
