People win the lottery twice with worse odds. Highly unlikely does not mean does not happen

Where is that found at?

?

Twice...same game.

Tell you what. Grab 18 coins and toss them all at once. When you happen to toss all 18 with heads, post back.

Exactly the same mathematically.

Won 4 multiple million dollar jackpots

Three of her wins, all in two-year intervals, were by scratch-off tickets bought at the same mini mart in the town of Bishop.

Uhh ... I get the odds of 18 straight times on either the hitters or pitchers card to be 1 in 262,144 ... not 1 in 262 ... is it not 2 to the 18th power?[/b:5274a1b3c5]

It damn side better be that rare! Or some such, no?

My Press Secretary reports that my previous statement is inoperative! I saw only "262" in the opening note of this thread ... my eye skipped right over the "k" in "262k" ... Duhh on the Uhhh too!"[/b:5274a1b3c5]

Yup correct 262K...no one argued that I dont think.

Not sure what a lottery winner has to do with it though.

Guy: Wow...lightning struck the same place twice last week--that's very rare
Dude: No it's not...after all, someone won the lottery twice once.
Guy: oh.

Sorry, dont get it!

Did you toss all 18 heads yet?

Toss 18 coins sequentially and call me when you get:
HTHTHTHTHTHTHTHTHT

It's 50-50 that you get that exact combo before you get 18 H.

Seriously.

Yes PKB, that is correct. Any specific combination of 18 coin toss results is equally likely.

hit a 14 team parley in vegas once. needed SF in the sunday night game to do it. didn't pay close to the real odds. it was on a card not a window bet.
