28 Man Rposter - Why????

I would love to see a theme league were you HAVE to carry 28 players and you HAVE to use them all in at least 25 games.

Not accusing anyone of any bad intent, but every time I play 140-200, I run into a couple people who use a strategy like this:

40 man roster can only exacerbate that problem, no?

There are 4000 players to choose from,....you can't be serious.

There are considerably less than 4000 players to choose from considering multiples of the same guy.
And given the ability for a player to stack an autodraft roster with very cheap versions of players who have high dollar figures, I am stone cold sober serious, Stormcrow. It will happen to you, that your middle picks will be weaseled from you by someone who has the $2 version of your $7M man, and will hold Musial for an extortion style price in trade while you are looking at playing Minnie Minoso or worse.

Solution: Put that player higher on your draft card. Then that person's $2 version will result in a useless player awarded to them. Problem solved.

You cannot put everyone at the top of your draft card, and even you will admit you can get hosed by having the 10-12th picked draft card.

Exactly, whoever ranks the player higher gets him. And if to use the example cited someone ranks Musial higher they should get Musial. And it should be their right to keep him or trade him. To be completely honest if your team depends on getting your 10-12 picks it is a poor strategy. If a player is so important to your strategy that not getting that player would cause you to be hosed then he should not be listed that low on your draft card. If you are putting Musial type players down that low no wonder the other guy gets him.

If you are not getting your 10-12 picks and you consider those players important move them up to 7-9. Problem solved.
