Team is 34-47 poor as expected with a 7.28ERA and 1.95 whip. Total lack of a bullpen and a bunch of s5 and s6 starters doesn't lend to good pitching![/b]

This is another team in the same league in another division. a little more pitching than I but great performances as well, when was the last time anyone saw Doby hitting .320 with OBP of .396?? I will post this team as well to judge the 2nd half performance. Amish is 49-32. If there is "normilazation" then the Amish could be in for a very tough second half.

As Cobb has gotten very hot finally, and my expectations of a dropoff in hitting totally not happening, I admit I was wrong about HAL and holding down BA's , Teddy Ballgame has pulled to .500. Amazingly with 18 games left my team has scored 1115 and given up 1116, as even as it can get. And frankly the only pitcher I have with any talent is Pedro Borbon.

One thing this does show me is how top players can build on each other. Williams, Foxx and Joltin Joe' are causing a lot of havoc. When Ted, Joe Morgan and Foxx get on the pitchers must be slightly fatigued and DiMaggio is killing them. Cobb and Wagner's positive clutch and high average is providing great backup to prevent HAL from pitching around Dimaggio. Also results imply Jackie Robinson is overpriced, he was a mistake to include on this team. Also has confirmed my prior suspicions that Ted Williams is hands down the best leadoff hitter in the game.

Charlie,

What is your batting order right now? It seems the right batting order can affect player performance more than expected. So when I have Rolfe and bat him 5th, should not be surprsied when he hits .275. He seems to hit much better when I have him in the 2 slot.

Interesting, sschu

1. Williams, Ted (L) LF
2. Morgan, Joe (L) 2B
3. Foxx, Jimmie (R) 1B
4. Dimaggio, Joe (R) CF
5. Cobb, Ty (L) RF
6. Wagner, Honus (R) SS
7. Cochrane, Mickey (L) C
8. Robinson, Jackie (R) 3B
9. Pitcher P

This is the order I have used every game. I have not deviated even for injury substitutes and Wagner has missed 30+ games.
