I must say, I just had a very good trade experience. In a 200M league, I sent a trade offering Canseco, Dean Chance, John Donaldson and the expensive Gehringer for 3-Finger, the new Jackie Robinson, Mike Caldwell and Colavito. This trade is in my favor, but as with all my trades, I put in a statement saying who I was targeting and asking them to counter if interested.
Within a day, the manager countered with a deal that threw in my dealing Dimaggio to him for Delahanty. I didn't want to part with Dimaggio, so I countered by taking away the CF swap and instead offering Haller in exchange for his Bresnahan, since Bench was hitting .170 for him.
Within 1/2 day, he countered by requesting Hartnett for Bench instead of Haller for Bresnahan. I wasn't a huge fan of giving up Hartnett, but this brought the trade to pretty close to even, at least in both of our opinions, so I accepted.
2 days, one offer, 3 counter offers, and an acceptance. That's what I love about this game. The banter, the dealing, the seeing a plan come together. That's why I play. Hope everyone can have that same experience.
