[quote:b411ece2f4="nevdully's"]There is [b:b411ece2f4]no one[/b:b411ece2f4] that beats me more often than Rick, it's not even close.
I don't think I've ever, [b:b411ece2f4]EVER[/b:b411ece2f4] EVER[/size:b411ece2f4] won a season series from Rick.
I always, [b:b411ece2f4]ALWAYS[/b:b411ece2f4] ALWAYS[/size:b411ece2f4] think my teams are better.
But I never, [b:b411ece2f4]NEVER[/b:b411ece2f4] NEVER[/size:b411ece2f4] can win against Rick.

Thanks for the praise, Michael. :D 8) :D 8) :D 8) :D 8) :D
I think there may be some selective memory from the few keeper or extended leagues we've been in together in the same division, where I regularly kicked your äss  :P , but I think the NEVERs are a bit of an exaggeration.
For my part, my chief nemesis is Ed Bazo and his Roadkill. He just swept me again last night. :D I HATE that guy!
PBTR brings up a good point. A good team is a good team, but luck does play a part. The Identical League experiment we did a while back is an example. For those who don't know, 12 of us set up two identical leagues, same divisions, exact same teams, exact same manager settings, lineups, rotations, etc. We even entered the teams in the same order in the divisions and started on the same day to try to replicate everything.
While I did finish first and made the Finals with both teams, one team won 103 and the other team won 87. Of course, the 87 win team won the ring.
Another example is Bobby's "Beat Munich Man's Best" league, where I replicated my best (record) team and everyone else drafted normally. I didn't (and don't) think it was my best team, but it did win the most games. Anyway, my 107 win team "only" won 87 and finished 3rd, 4 games out of first. Of course, the rest of the league, and particularly the division, tailored their teams specifically to beat mine, but still...
All that said, it is a dice game, and luck is involved, but the consistently good managers are able to manufacture luck. It's just that sometimes the assembly line goes on strike.
