I believe Doc is correct and we'll need a compromise solution with his squad because there aren't any pure relievers in the NeL.

I also think we need to formulate precisely how we will draft; with so many players spanning the decades, do we want all of these players to fall into the FA wire? I think that might be problematic because in a normal auto draft the FA first priority would go to the teams that missed out on the most players. In this case, if we only draft from our own decade none of us would miss anyone, making the FA waiver wire a random drawing.

One option might be to draft anyone who fits in your decade and then allow our priority list to decide in the auto draft. Thus if someone with the 50's squad lists Mays higher on his draft card than the gentleman from the 60's he would get him and vice versa.

I'm amenable to other options, I just think we need to be clear on this point. ( Then again, maybe the heat is affecting me and I'm missing something obvious!)

We already decided that the Negro Leagues are getting their required RP ONLYs from the 40s and 50s decade (after the draft).

You got it right: Restrict your draft list to player cards with a year printed on it from your decade and then allow your priority list to decide in the auto draft. Thus if someone with the 50's squad lists Mays or Mantle higher on his draft card than the gentleman from the 60's, he would get him and vice versa.

After WAIVERS, you must drop the highest salaried card without your decade printed on it before you drop any other card! ASAP!
