Is it Okay to copy someones team???

It blows my mind that many here aren't concerned with intent.

There's a player here that has been kicked out of a league for [b:c996bf9c3b][u:c996bf9c3b]cheating[/u:c996bf9c3b][/b:c996bf9c3b] (owned more than one team, built one up, tore one down)...He's still doing it...But some don't care simply because he's not very good at it. :roll: :shock: :x

So you can cheat as long as you're not to good at it.

Now I Am Not saying for one second that copying is cheating...I'm just blown away by how some people rationalize behavior. i.e it ain't cheating if you don't get caught.

How would you feel if I tried to rob your neighbor's house yesterday?

Would you be ok with my intent as long as I wasn't succcessful?

Would it ease your mind to know houses get robbed all the time?

Would it be ok with you because it wasn't your house?

Or might my intent concern you since you too are my neighbor?

Very good job Nev of cutting to the core. Here are direct answers.

I would not mind at all if someone copied one of my teams.

Yes, I would feel flattered, especially if it was a vet who considered me worthy of copying.

Would not bother me if it stepped on my draft card. Just tells me I have become too predictable. If it appears for whatever reason I am competing for the same players then I alter strategy accordingly.

If I asked I would assume an honest answer unless I had irrefutable proof. And if I had that I would not bother asking. His answer one way or the other would not alter my current of future plans.

macnoie it doesn't surprise me that you don't really care, I'm sure most feel that way...just not me...I had (to my knowledge) 2 others copy my team player for player. One was a vet and a pretty good Owner too. He actually apologized for it...I Wasn't looking for an apology...I was simply stunned by it...Much like if you're in a crowded elevator and someone just lets one rip...Hey it's a normal bodily function right? Certainly no law against it...just not something I would do and not something I'd expect most to do.

Cheating by having more than one team or burglary is a far different thing than trying to imitate someone. Absolutely would be very concerned about the former. Would not waste any effort on the latter.
