[quote:dac4c2b55c="Paul_Long71"]OUCH!!! nice call..... we get 1 Sp over 8M and no relievers.....gonna be tough.

what about SP/RP guys? won't HAL just use them? what do you want us to do there? love the rule, just making sure how you want it enforced.

and gfdwarf, how about WAS-EXP? should that be added to your rule (Howard '69)

thanks,

Paul[/quote:dac4c2b55c]

You just want Del Unser, Paul! :P

Nah, that's part of a different franchise, so let's stick with what was put in the original theme.

[quote:36ea8e1eec="uvm87"]1. Modmark. Theme = Each team must have three position player (not DH) platoons active at all times; injuries don't let you off the hook, so plan accordingly. (24 words).
2. wrz25: Theme = Your SS, 2B, and CF must have a combined fielding rating of 7 or higher. (e.g. SS 2, 2B 2 and CF 3, or SS 1, 2B 3, CF 3, etc)
3. Roosky. Theme - you may only carry one pitcher that is 8 million or more at any given time.
4.honestiago--Balanced Batters--roster of 15; 5 must bat R, 5 left, and 5 are switch hitters (16 words)
5. he's meat - each team must have one, and only one JOHNSON at all times (read into this what you will)
6. gfdwarf07 - At least one member of the starting (hitters) lineup for every game must have come from the WAS-DB, WAS-pre, WAS-post or MN-exp rosters, even considering injuries (26 words)
7. miduar - catchers cannot have a "1" injury rating, and MUST leadoff
8. treyomo - Uneven Steven - no pitchers allowed with a balance rating of E
9. OakAth72- Left, Right, and Small....All East Teams play in Penmar, Central in Hilltop, West in Forbes '57...placement through randomization.
10. Jamesgang77 - All relievers at .75 cents maximum
11. Paul_Long71 - Of your starting 8 guys, your top HR hitter, whoever has the most on their "real life stats" not simulated stats, must bat in the 8 spot in the order. (exactly 30)
12. Camsport75 (with Dad) - Every team must have two players with the same initials for his first and last name (example - Joe Jackson and Goose Goslin) . (22 words)

That makes 12![/quote:36ea8e1eec]

Paul Long - this is a DH league, so you mean of the starting 9 guys, the top HR hitter still bats 8th? Or do you mean the 8 guys starting in the field? Just to be clear.

also, if you have two guys that tie for most HR's, then you can pick which one bats 9th

Question for Camsport75

Postby GFDWARF07 » Tue Oct 04, 2011 1:24 am

12. Camsport75 (with Dad) - Every team must have two players with the same initials for his first and last name (example - Joe Jackson and Goose Goslin) . (22 words)

Does this mean 2 and ONLY 2? i.e. can three or more happen to have same first and last initials?

Team almost formed, just want to be sure. I have 3 of these at the moment

remember that the catcher leads off so if your catcher happens to be the team home run leader (actual not sims) who bats 9th then? the next highest hr hitter?

Just a Commish comment about whether you can have more than the required two double letter players on your roster. First priority in a SS theme league is always that everyone have the ability to fulfill the 12 theme requirements. A team can not [i:090e6a7aa2]hoard[/i:090e6a7aa2] players that others need to meet their needs. So, if there were only 25 double letter players (for example), I could not put 8 on my team, and use the other 5 or 6 to force trades among the teams needing those players. Having past SS theme experience, this is a "gentlemens agreement" in these themes. Take what you need, use what you want, as long as there are enough required player cards to go around. If there are plenty, and the creator of the individual theme has no problem with it, than it's fine.
