Are you use Kriff figuratively or is there an actual manager named Kriff doing this. At one time there was such a person who was known to intentionally build bad teams and make them even worse with nonstop drop adds. It was my understanding he had been banned though.

And yet this manager did so even though he paid more than $5. So cost it would appear is not that much of a disincentive.

Valen makes a good point. Maybe the price should be higher so we could better avoid this situation.

UPDATE

Postby 1787 » Sat Mar 31, 2012 12:21 pm

Just as an update on this maniac,he stopped making moves on March 14,following his last move his total team value is at 40.29 million [80 mil league] since that date his team is 3-20. I dont know what the record for loses is but this team could lose 130 games. I too remember Kriff and this guy could possibly be worse.

What if Bernie added a feature on your team page that showed your current salary level, instead of just showing how much money you have available. As hard as it may be to believe, these people might not be aware of the effect their actions are having on their team makeup.

I also make changed during the season, and I think it would be nice to see what my players are actually worth.

Just a thought.

This "pistol" guy is 25-86 in one league, 27-84 in another. One team has lost 15 in a row -- after mysteriously sweeping an all-Expos squad. The other team has been on a 7-41 tear.

Unlucky for me I'm in wild card contention in both leagues -- but not in his division. No way will I make the playoffs as the WC.

He's in this league - actually leading the division, but it's early.

But look at some of the players and their stats at the time they were cut?

Yes there is a manager named Kriff.
Obviously, he is not banned from playing.

Yikes

Postby jlt53 » Wed Apr 04, 2012 5:39 pm

It turns out I am in the division with the Mass Pistol guy cited above. And I'm in second place.

I know I am not in cahoots with him. If he really is trying to tank and still beating me, what does that say about my own managerial genius?

Seriously, what is the point of starting a team and then undermining it with all these moves? He got off to a fast start, even though his team was lousy defensively. I get beat all the time by teams I can't figure out. So I thought maybe he was onto something. It seems like you would at least play it out for a while and see how it works. Especially as long as you are in first place.

maybe he has a compulsive disorder. seriously. i think anyone who plays this game with regularity has got to be a little o/c anyway, but this guy tilts way to the C side.

You're talking about my team, aren't you? LOL! The Rally Squirrels - I just took 2 out of 3 from you!

Yep - it's silly. I've got the Mass Pistols tonite - I'll probably lose all three!
Good luck - you should eventually overtake him!
