Down with Small Ball!

[quote:729f5fa218="danielz"]The dark side bounced back last night with 13, 12 and 9[/quote:729f5fa218]

Indeed, and the night before they managed 20, 5 and 17. Perhaps I was premature on the Nromalization talk...

To my eyes, in this latest version, it seems like small ball has had resurgence. Ive seen some very successful small ball teams, more than in the past.

You were right about this team in the other thread MM. 618 HR sets a new 100m record; .654 SLG PCT was good enough for second.
Wound up one game out of Wild Card, however...

Helluva team...

...MM. Let's see if you can get to 1620 runs. With 9 of 12 left in the Launching Pad, I bet you can do it.

Already well over the posted record for errors by a 100 mil team, previously held by... Munich Man.

Re: Munich's team.

Those predicting the end of the world for yesterday obviously saw Larry Andersen's 192 innings. :P

Oops, needed to switch to an English keyboard...

Currently enjoying a three-week jaunt in Ukraine, so was unable to closely follow my team in the final days...

I managed to hit exactly 1620 runs, and my strong pitching led me to a 100/win season! Wheee!

I pretty much smashed the runs scored record, and set a couple more laong the way. I can peruse the record books once I am safely back in Munich. Currently sitting in an Internet cafe in Yalta.

I never thought I could win 100 games with such a team, but the dreaded normalization did not appear to kick in. 10 runs/game is pretty darn good, I do say. Can write more when I have more time...
