[quote:c8d3cb9368="Palanion"]JakeBradley, you are not wrong. However, to use your analogy, one does not hire a single person to install the plumbing for an office building.
Yet, TSN always seemed to expect that one man could fix the toilet, put down a new floor, paint the walls, repoint the chimney, do all the landscaping, upgrade the electrical system, install a security system, and field all customer calls.
Blame Bernie for things, yes. But praise him for working in a situation that must be less than ideal.[/quote:c8d3cb9368]
1st, my point wasn't to universally blame bernieh or never credit him for good work. I think on the whole he is a good worker. My point was primarily to attack this notion that he should unequivocally be above criticism as if he were a volunteer. I think the previously cited examples of Adrians DD and Moose's records are good examples of people who are above any criticism because they aren't being paid and anything they provide is gravy. Bernieh however is paid. That doesn't mean he is all too blame and it doesn't mean he can't ever get any sort of blame at all. You also agree with me on this point as you said "blame bernieh for things, yes"
2nd, to address your analogy. Yes its clear bernieh is far from responsible for the entirety of the project like a single plumber working for a plumbing company on a whole office building isn't responsible for the entire project. However, like a concierge isn't responsible for the entire makings and service of a hotel he or she still has to field complaints. He or she doesn't say "talk to the ceo he is the one that decided to go with poor shower heads." Basically we have to complain to somebody and Bernieh is the clear liaison to us, the consumer, from tsn and now strat o matic. Also the impracticality of having to lodge complaints to every single person who bears responsibility for a service is astronomical and would require and a banquet hall.
