2nd question- drafting

Drafting.
What up with the 8 catchers on peoples draft card. Is this some ancient secret to get a higher waiver wire. Or does Hal see the excessive amount of catchers and take "pity" on the drafter by giving them a higher % of picks.
I've seen so many do it and it makes no sense to me. But enough are doing it that there is def something going on.
The mystery is killing me.

I'm assuming you're exaggerating, but I agree. I've seen plenty of teams w/ 3 or 4 catchers drafted. Most are pretty cheap, less than 1.0M. Don't know, but I'd like to hear an answer as well.

The idea behind the catcher drafting is kind of 2 fold . There are only so many ok cheapie catchers . So , if you try to take them all you'll end up with one worth a darn plus everyone would be going for them and it does or would slant your waivers slightly but not that much , IMO . :)
