Looking for thoughts on this attempt in Fenway. Other parks are Oakland Coliseum, Yankee '56 and Griffith. # of LH SP are 8.

Looks like a solid team. I prefer power at every position and given the number of lh starters, you might want to swap out Gywnn. Is Del Ennis available?

Available RF that hit LHP well are Ennis, Valentine and even Medwick.

Here are your card numbers:
OBP vs RH 0.398
SLG vs RH 0.507
OPS vs RH 0.905
HR Rate vs RH 4.6
BPHR vs RH
50
OBP vs LH 0.424
SLG vs LH 0.536
OPS vs LH 0.959
HR Rate vs LH 4.8
BPHR vs LH 49
Your OBP vs RHs is a bit low for this type of team, you will get hurt especially on the road in pitchers parks, by hard RHs.
Suggest you try to get to Brett at 1B. Gwynn in RF could leadoff, and you need a leadoff guy and not much else is available in RF. Joe D would also be an option. Cepeda would be a good option over Ripper if you go the Joe D route.
Not sure, even with a decent pen like you have, that there is enough OBP on this team to win with this approach.
Best of luck, sschu

sschu, even w/ the # of LH SPs in the divison. I was thinking more along the lines of getting either Valentine or Ennis in RF. But I do like Gwynn to leadoff.

here are some nice Valentine #s in Fenway67. He missed 19 games

I've only used Ennis once, right now actually, in Fenway67. I actually have him in LF

Opps, I missed the LH SP count, and Mike is in your division with a pitching team. He has 2 good RHs and 2 cheapy LHs, FB is always the team to beat.
OK, Brett is out, but you need better OBP vs RHs. With all those LHs I like Gwynn less, Joe D is now a must have, he could really rock. You need a leadoff guy, not much to pick from, that is bad.
Hmm, tough one. Here is a possibility:
May
Hernandez - leadoff
Rogers
Eddie
Ernie
Yaz
Joe D
Ellis or Ennis
With Valentine, here are your numbers:
OBP vs RH 0.414
SLG vs RH 0.505
OPS vs RH 0.919
HR Rate vs RH 5.2
BPHR vs RH 54
OBP vs LH 0.429
SLG vs LH 0.572
OPS vs LH 1.001
HR Rate vs LH 5.8
BPHR vs LH 54
OK vs RH and good vs LHs. Hernandez lack of speed is a concern, and 4 LHs is 1 too many, but you are going for the 3 run HR.
Right now I would watch the wire and hope an option opens up.

Love Dawson, but I prefer Thomas here. Would help you slugging vs rh pitching also...
Plenty of ways to skin the cat frank, but for what it is worth, my ideal lineup in fenway is
C - Gedman
1B - Gehrig (just a MONSTER! Never fails to hit 55-65 hrs, drive in 180-200 runs)
2B - Morgan (never win in fenway without him...not sure why!)
SS - Yount (banks works too!)
3b - Bando
LF - Ennis (great behind Gehrig)
CF - Thomas (Mays of course, but hard to get, usually settle for Gorman)
RF - Alou
Your pitching is fine. I agree with others, don't care for Gwynn here, but you need a leadoff hitter, and pickings are slim!!

Bump for a rechecking. Aaron is now in RF.
