Why did he only play in 86 games in '80 and only 311 ABs? If it was due to injury is he more injury proned than others in stratomatic?

He was hit in the face with a pitch and broke his cheekbone.

I've never used him so I can't speak of his strat injury history......

He has a 15 game injury risk, like all other players with less than 600 PA.

I guess a broken cheekbone from a loose fastball would put anyone out of commission for a while. Thanks for the notice. I've seen guys that use him get over 600 ABs from him. That's what I'm hoping for as I gave up Hank Aaron to get him.

Aaron is a popular player. FWIW, I think Ellis is a better value. I use him on almost half my teams. He's great in any park.

Actually that's worth a lot. I battled with that decision for a while. He and Alou were both available, so I figured I'd get the power I need and more defense. Plus, I'm playing a pitcher's park so Ellis would fit there better than Aaron I think.

Ellis is very solid. But Aaron is a better value.

Hmmm.... I smell an Aaron vs. Valentine debate.

Maybe it'll get less post-coverage than "Stephenson vs. Aaron"...!

Adlai Stevenson was probably better value than Riggs Stephenson.

But the next hot debate topic will be: would Sean " P. Diddy" Combs be better value than Earle Combs in your next outfield?
