Should he stay or should he go

Should he stay or should he go

I have bishop playing 2nd and batting 8th. After 217 plate appearences his OPS is .368 He is slugging an amazing .122. Considering that I am in 1st place after 60 games should I just leave well enough alone? There is not much in the FA pool.

T Herr
J Ganter

Should provide a little more offense for me but would it be worth the down grade on defense?

F White is also available...he couldn't hit any worse the what bishop has could he?

Normally, I would agree w/crackerjaxon on this, but Jim Gantner will hit and I've never seen Bishop do anything.

Another vote for Gantner and thumbs down for Bishop but there is a little risk to messing with starters when winning I try to only change the role players when I am leading division 8)

Bishop has definite utility. He probably needs to lead off and on bomber teams this can work. Or bat him 9th in DH leagues. Obviously his two major liabilities are: worst hitter likely to start in ATG II and his 1-12 running rating.
His strengths are decent OBP and defense for a great price.

I stay away from him with small ball or neutral parks. But he could bat second behind a not great basestealing but still* leadoff hitter, just check bunt more.

Every time I use Bishop, my teams seem to win. Your team is winning. Bishop gets on base and plays good "D". He helps you win. Gantner will hit a little more, but will get on base less. Stick with Bishop.
