Kiki Cuyler

Another reason I am enjoying strat is learning about the greats. I recently picked up Kiki on a new team and looked him up online for some background. Did you know his middle name was Shirley and his nickname sounds like the alpha letter chi-chi? He was given his nickname because he stuttered and he once introduced himself as Cuy-Cuyler. Interesting stuff.

I do believe he still holds the record for most extra base hits in a season by a Pittsburgh Pirate for his 1925 exploits. (Look for hack wilson to verify.)
