1/2 or 1/4 credit awards

as a crap manager, i'm appealing to the collective opinion of whomever would like to contribute. currently if you make the playoffs but fail at the first hurdle you get nothing. if a 1/2 or 1/4 credit was earned for making the playoffs it would further encourage the continued play for many IMO. yes this flies in the face of darwinian theory, and it is a direct appeal for the weak but after watching so many teams go down the drain, finally making post-season and getting knocked out; man, a 1/2 or 1/4 credit to keep me going would be soooo nice. i ask because if this gets knocked back as a dumb idea no problem. however if it has any merit at all i'd put into the suggestion to TSN section of the boards as an earnest plea from someone desperate to save some money somewhere down the line.

I've always thought there should be at least SOMETHING for making the playoffs. 1/4 credit would be nice.

It would ease the pain just a bit, going for Finals loss #22 starting tonight. :roll:

I think that is actually a good idea that could make sense for TSN because it would encourage people to keep buying teams in order to complete their free credit. You should suggest it to Bernie, I'd support it. :D

From a business perspective I think the awarding of partial credits makes good financial sense. That is especially true if they do not allow combining of partial credits. So if you get a 1/2 credit you have to spend the 12.50 and cash in the credit for a team. A full credit brings in no additional revenue. And I suspect the beta testers pretty much get their experimentation done during beta testing of any game and then use their advantage early in a game to pile up credits and then coast for extended time on the credits generating little or no revenue. The partial credit idea would generate additional revenue.

Excellent idea danny. I to have been knocked out in the semi's after a long struggle through the season just to get there. 1/4 or 1/2 credit would be great, c'mon Bernie, help us out. I believe also that more revunue would be generated.
