i have mickey cochrane and he is doing a great job---when healthy!! my league is very tough. all teams are within 4 games through 54 played so far. mickey has had a 10 game injury & now a 15 game injury. is this the norm for him through your experience? also i'm starting a stretch of league games tonight which i don't feel like i can be a factor in with him on the bench so do you think i should drop him . i feel like he is going to continue to get injured. my backup is not going to help me and i know i can't trade a hurt catcher. keep him or cut him? and is this his normal for injuries?

I've had Cochrane miss 25 games in a season before, but 25 of 54 is a freakin' killer.

It's bad luck on the rolls I'd say.

I like him in small ball anyway, good OBP, and not slow enough he seems to carry a piano in his back pocket.

Unless you can get Carter in trade, stick with him. Who's your backup C?
With Cochrane, you need to get a decent and cheap #2.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Sadly, he is not done. I'm at game 120+ and he already missed 15, 10, and 15. Once he starts he can't stop. He's worth having, especially on a smallball team...but if he is one of your 2 or 3 top offensive players, I'd try trading him.

10-4, i hate to think that he continues to get hurt. i've now learned that i should have picked up a good backup for him but i never knew this cat gets hurt like this. i love it when he's in the lineup of my small ball team. he does great! unfortunately my backup is steve lake!
