What the hell :!: Couldn't stand to see Mays, Sisler, Waner on the FA list. Interesting league anyway in that there are 2 League '34's (in my division), 2 Dunns, a Yankee '78 and Muni. I don't think I've ever seen as much lefty pitching in one league before! Hoping Mays and Allen can have monster years. My pitching will be suspect at best, but it's all in fun right?!? At least they will have some great D behind them.

Lineup vs. LHP

Should be fun to watch.

I'm thinking a .500 season would be a good year. :)

I knocked alot of the picks, but I do think Bernie did a great job. Atg III looks to be alot of fun! :D

I'll bite. 8) This is my favorite style of team and I like the choices you've made. Lots of guys who put the bat on the ball - high average and lots of XBH (although more for 2B & 3B rather than HR). The lone power source is Mays - a great choice since he's got the HR power to knock it out of any park. ...but I can never resist the urge to tinker. If it were me, I'd make two, maybe 3 changes to the lineup...

#1 - Use Sisler as a leadoff man - he has higher OBP, speed and never gets hurt. I'd want to maximize his PA's.

#2 - The lineup looks considerably stronger vs. LHP, so I'd look for someone who kills righties and insert them between Mays and Allen.

#3 - Move Coleman to LF, Allen to DH, and find a 3B who plays better defense. I'd go with Denny Walling (since he wails on righties) w/ someone like Iorg or McMullin as a platoon partner. Although you sacrifice the Gold Glove in LF, you ge a lot of the defense back by taking Allen off the field.

Thanks Riggo!

I was / am struggling as to where to bat Sisler. My original lineup I had:

Sisler
Waner
Mays
Frisch
Allen
Moore
Parrish / Myatt
Burleson
Coleman

The reason I'm so lefty heavy is that (at last count) there were 25 LH SP and 23 RH SP!

In my division alone, there are 8 LH and 4 RH!

I love to tinker myself  This may not be the finished product. :)

Thanks!

Tim
