.....is it just me or does he stink for everyone else as well........twice i've let him go mid-season w/ 7+ ERA's....but both were in 100 mil leagues....and in hitters parks.........so after 6 starts in an 80 mil league in a pitchers park w/ good d behind him.......here's his line
0 4 0 24.2 45 25 9 11 9.12 2.19 E .....a nine ERA!!!! ......and having played in only one hitters park....all others are pitching parks????...... :x

......i've been trying not to over-manage w/ in season moves.....but this is killing me......nothin close to his card's 1.99 ERA and 1.11 WHIP......
:?

Mathewson for me in Polo Grounds '11. Been fairly consistent, just pitching for rotten team.

Mathewson 7-12-0, 163.1 IP, 177 H, 77 ER, 48 BB, 96 SO, 4.24, 1.38

I was hoping for better, but didn't do him any favors with my lousy drafting (first ATG II team) and overmanaging.

I hesitate posting this, because I'm scared of jinxing the Big Six, but here's Mathewson for me 105 games into the season:

17-5-0 196.0 192 56 44 88 2.57 1.20

This is Sportsman's '46. The league ERA, btw, is 4.53. Make of it what you will.

I have a 1911 Matty that rules playing for my Netplay3 team, but this version is simply not his best year. He gives up a lot of baserunners for an ace, so a cut below Pete, obviously. He does not give up a lot of extra base hits, fortunately. A good pitcher, but seems to me not a great value as priced.
