Murray or Powell in Polo Grounds?

I have the following team in Polo...

Obviously trying to bludgeon my opponents! :wink:
Question, I have Powell, Eddie Murray is available. I know alot of people like Powell, but I have never had much success with him. What about Murray?? Who do you prefer??

My experience is just the opposite, but limited. Powell has had 1 OK and 2 good seasons for me. I only used Murray once, on a championship tesm, but HIS performance was so poor, I never drafted him again. The team won in spite of him.

I have Murray on all 3 of my current teams (I was a fan of him growing up) and in a pitchers park he is on pace for 30/100, my other 2 teams are a neutral park and he is on pace for 30/100 in one and 20/60 in the other although it is only 1/4 in. All three: BA/Slug/OBP are lower then his real life averages though, with OBP worst of the three stats.

I would take Murray over Powell in ANY park! I have rarely seen Powell perform well, elt alone close to his card. Murray is a great defensive 1B with a great bat from both sides fo the plate, is faster than Boog and will almost always put up solid numbers, no matter where you are playing.

Boog just hit 50 HRs for me in Muni, drove in about 125. 80 mill league, lotsa hitters parks though. He raked at home, and raked against RHP all year pretty consistently for me.

Murray over Powell. Have had lots of success w/ Murray. On the occasions that I used Powell, he disappointed.

yeah Frank, that is the experience I have had with Boog. I have dropped boog, going with Murray....

I have had success with both Boog & Murray. See this team of mine where I used both guys (DH League). Boog outperformed Murray by a decent amount.
