i remember seeing a post like this on the old boards, but can't find it - go figure. so i'll start it over here.
i just won my division by one game with an 81-81 record - spending only one day in first place (the last). started the season 0-15.

I finished first with an 81-81 record. I had a team and park for the short series. I had four good starters and played in Griffith. With just enough hitting, a crappy division, I made the post season and won the championship.
That was in ATGI. I haven't won another championship since. I was close just recently. I was up 3-2 and two runs in game six in the 9th inning. Schultz gave up three 9th inning runs and I lost that game and the seventh.

This team finished with just 74 wins managed to take the finals to 6 games before finally being beaten. Guy was probably a Padre fan.

I think 74 must be the record. I had a team win a division with 80 wins recently. They lost three and quietly went home.

Chief - I can't imagine any of your teams going home "quietly". :P
Edbazo won a title with 78 wins...at my expense.
