Big 1/2 season for Lance Parrish

Big 1/2 season for Lance Parrish

Postby dbrisner » Sun Sep 25, 2005 6:13 pm

Thru 81 games for team playing at Veterans Stadium:
[list:2b17335f74] Lance Parrish 275 37 8 23 72 21 0 0 .251 .531 .302 2L

Actually, he's only appeared in 74 games due to injury and is still on pace for 140 + RBIs and leads the team in HRs and RBIs, barely outdistancing Hornsby in both categories. Anybody ever had a sub-$2 mil player hit 45 HRs and drive in 140? [/list:u:2b17335f74][/url]

I traded underperforming Larry Doby and good-hitting Gary Carter to an opponent for Parrish and Hank Aaron with 48 games to go.

Aaron was unconscious with 19 HR and 43 RBI, and Parrish had 14 HR and 34 RBI. Both hit over .300. Put me back in the race before a final week flop.
