I just had a team finish last night with the second best record in the league. 92 Wins and 70 losses.

Funny thing is, they were [b:a8616dfd38]OUTSCORED[/b:a8616dfd38] by their opponents by 13 runs during the course of the season.

They also finished I believe 6th in runs scored and 8th in runs allowed.

I still can't figure out how'd they do it???

You had a lot of 2-1 wins and a lot of 9-2 losses.

Garber - 54 saves, wow!

That's what I often see with Forbes teams... I am trying my first one now.

Aaron, Cooper and Morgan were damn good considering the park.... Nice job!!!

Good luck in the playoffs!

Way to go, Rich!

I am hoping to have great seasons out of Morgan and Aaron (along with Reggie S., Boggs, Oglivie et al) in my next Yankee '56 team. It will be my first use of Morgan and first full season of Aaron.

You can NEVER go wrong with Aaron. That's why I hung on to him through the slow start.

Bat Morgan 2nd, he's perfect there.

Maybe you've seen different, but I can't bring myself to use Reggie Smith ...

Coach,

How's it all going, are you on track for that HR record?

I had just the opposite happen, had a team with 84 wins that was tied for 1st in runs, 4th in ERA and had a 140+ runs advantage!

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/team/team_other.html?user_id=53107

The team lost 28 one-run games and Newhouser & Lyle had 14 loses, 12 blown saves and 6+ ERAs. Ended up 4 games out with no playoff. The season is still a mystery to me .....

sschu

not a shock to me

most of my teams score less than they allow. my guys never hit, regardless the stadium. i just lost in game 6 of the finals with an 81-81 team that gave up 58 more runs than it scored. i'd win 2-1, and lose 3-1.

Scott,

So far, so good on the HR record team, about 3/4 of the way thru the season and they're on pace for roughly 520 taters which would blow the old record away by 40 or so. :D

ON TO THE FINALS
