My latest effort is named "ASS BACKWARDS CROSS DRESSERS".

The pitchers are all cross dominant players (i.e. LHP's who are better against righty batters, RHP's who are better against lefty batters).

And then the batters are all better against their same sided pitchers (i.e. Righty batters better against RHP's and lefty batters better against LHP's).

I decided to keep it honest which meant even though Ty Cobb and Joe Jackson (as examples) are actually better againts LHP's, I couldn't use them.

Here's the PRE-WAIVERS team:

Anybody done a team like this before? Any other suggestions for players? How do you think they'll fare?[b:931fd20678][/b:931fd20678]

Take Gooden over Lemon at Forbes.

Stewart, Palmer and Stieb have performed well for me against teams that have lots of switch hitters, multiple platoons or several LH killers and some Even type LHs.

Finding LH hitters that are biased toward LHs will be difficult, but Musial, Mathews, Pesky and Ott all have cards that are slightly better against LHs, hence they may be eligible for your team ...

Interesting idea!

Best of luck, sschu

To stay true to the theme, they gotta be rated as better, no "E" rated batters or pitchers allowed ... That would be too easy! :D

12 games into the season, team record is 2-10, team is last in the league in scoring and middle of the pack in pitching.

More disturbing is the injuries:

ASS BACKWARDS CROSS DRESSERS
Foster, George - injured games 4 through 18
Green, Dick - injured games 12 through 17
McDougald, Gil - injured games 7 through 21

12 games into the season and my team has already had THIRTY SIX GAMES WORTH OF INJURIES!. OUCH!

As they say on TV, don't try this at home ............

CR,

Ouch! Bit of a bad start with the bats for sure. Your team's OK, stay with them.

BTW, I have a hurlers team I want you to have a look at, I'll send you a link.

Best of luck, sschu

Alright now, enough's enough, I realize this was an experimental team, but C'mon HAL, the joke's over.

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/team/team_other.html?user_id=69466

4 Wins and 20 Losses to start the season.

Look at my pitchers stats (and that's pitching in Forbes).

Do I try to salvage something or just put this team on Auto-Pilot and pretend they don't exist???

Thoughts  Suggestions :? PRAYERS

CR,

Now that is UGLY!

Recently had a bad start, 2-17 including 9 loses in a row, 10-26 before the team turned it around. Ended up with 86 wins, not bad.

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/team/team_other.html?user_id=56727

Also had Sutton 0-11 to start the season, even though his ERA was less than 4.00! He is 2-12 now ....

Stay the course, you'll be better for it. :D

Can't go auto-pilot this early. You never know. What's your run differential look like? Should you be winning more? If so, ride it out. If not make some changes. FWIW, that's my advice.

This team is killing me. Obviously it was an experimental team, but I don't think they should be nearly as bad as they are. I'm open to ANY and ALL suggestions with regards to settings, lineup, batting order, closers, players, etc.

The cross dominant thing limits me greatly, but if you have any suggestions for better player options, fire away ..........

Here's my current batting order:

Lineup vs. LHP

1. Sewell, Joe (L) 3B
2. Landis, Jim (R) CF
3. Cepeda, Orlando (R) 1B
4. Sisler, Dick (L) LF
5. Lazzeri, Tony (R) 2B
6. O'Neill, Steve (R) C
7. McDougald, Gil (R) SS
8. Evans, Dwight (R) inj RF
9. Pitcher P

Lineup vs. RHP

1. Sewell, Joe (L) 3B
2. Landis, Jim (R) CF
3. Cepeda, Orlando (R) 1B
4. Lazzeri, Tony (R) 2B
5. Foster, George (R) LF
6. O'Neill, Steve (R) C
7. Evans, Dwight (R) inj RF
8. McDougald, Gil (R) SS
9. Pitcher P
