Team starts tomorrow.

I'm torn between going with my rotation as is, which is:

Adams
Reulbach
Hiller
Speer
Rommel

Or, I could trade in Hiller, Reulbach and Adams and pick up 4 $6.00 Mill 3 day starters.

Here's the team:

I play in Griffith, my division is Sportsmans '46, Oakland '90 and Olympic '80 (or something along those lines, pretty pitcher friendly).

Help!!!!

Expert and non-expert opinions wanted.

I would NOT go to the 3 day SPs, not sure you would find equivalent performance.

I might move out Reulbach and someone and get 2 $5M 4 day SPs and work Rommell/Speer in the 5th spot based upon opposition.

Possible combos would include:

Milliken/Labine
Dobson/Phillippe
Dobson/Sturdivant
Dobson/Hildobrandt
Milliken/Feller

With your good bats that would give you great chances to win on 4/5 days, and you'll get some good performances from Rommell and Speer.

Great suggestions in the above post. Not sure how much I like Hiller, you can find a lot cheaper LHP.

I think you can do a lot better than Klinger in your park.

Lou Gehrig is in a bad spot here cut him and pick up Fred Luderus. Lou is not really suited to do well at Griffith and that's too much money to spend to have Lou hit .325. Then I would cut Shekard and pick up Charlie Keller to get some OBP and a good lefty bat. I would also cut Henry Aaron and pick up Ellis Valentine but that's just me, many love Henry in Griffith. The rest of the team I like well.

Assuming you keep Hank, that means you pick up 8 million dollars and can upgrade your starting pitching. I would then cut Vance and pick up Marius Russo and then cut Hiller and pick up Ralph Works. I would also switch Klinger for Staley in the pen.

I would suggest Babe, Ruelbach, Russo Ralph and Eddie as my main starters and have Kid Speer as lefty setup man and part time starter against Dunn type teams.

Possible adjustments would be Ruelbach for Jack Taylor and use the money to upgrade to Konstancy or Perronowski in the pen.

As your team is now the Camels are going to smoke you along with the rest of the division you'll be dodging arrows and trying to get a Grip...........

If you would like help with the pitching I suggest you read my blogs

If this team stays as it is in this division I would be surprised to see it win 75 games[/quote]

Made some changes, went back to my "original" team which included Luderus and Russo.

What do you think?

I could drop Aaron (blasphemy, I know  ) and pick up Gwynn. Better defense, better speed, high OBP, lower OPS. That would free up a couple of mill to upgrade even further on the mound.

Thoughts???

Lots of non BP HRs on Aaron's card.......besides you couldnt talk me into dropping him for Gwynn in [b:562d9ba9de]any[/b:562d9ba9de] ballpark under[b:562d9ba9de]any[/b:562d9ba9de] condition

I'm not entirely sure I'd recommend dropping Gehrig either unless I could secure Chance or Judge. The only other huge money player that I like more is Ruth because he's slightly more balanced, both will hit well even in your park.
