Theme Team Post Mortem - Stadium Choice

The theme for this league was draft 4 teams and then assemble a $100M team with DH. My teams were 86 Mets, 75 Reds, 39 Yanks, 24 Senators. Your home stadium needed to be the stadium for one of the teams that you drafted.
When I looked at my team, I didn't see enough of the big HR hitters to use a HR park. Ideally I wanted to use a stadium with a BPHR of about 6. Three of my stadiums had BPHR ratings of around 12 and Griffith is 0. I decided to use Griffith and try to win games with my high OBA guys and good defense.
Now the question, did I win in spite of myself, or did this decision make sense? My team won 84 games in the regular season. (BTW, Red Ruffing started off 3-13 and finished 18-18.) Here is a link to the team:
