I'm somewhat surprised at his offensive numbers here. Never used him before in all my leagues. I know he has 50 errors but 219 hits, 41 Ds, 17Ts, 17 HRs, 105 RBIs along with the rest of the numbers, I'm rather happy with him. I may use him again just to see if this was a fluke....

Any input always appreciated......Bobby

I've only used him as a backup for Honus but he has put up those kind of numbers for me in part time duty. He's great at the bottom of the order.
Obviously if he doesn't hit he will drive you crazy.
SWEET NUMBERS!

I have him on one of my teams with just OK results. I'd definetly use him as a dh again, but I'm not as sure to use him as my starting SS....
BTW I think it was your coaching Mr. M :)

This is him in the Astrodome:
92 322 20 99 15 8 1 38 14 43 10 5 .308 .413 .337
Bush was putting up terrible numbers, so I picked up Parent right before midseason. He was like a yo-yo: slow start, huge tear that took his ba up to .340, a drop down to .275, then back up. Averaged about an error a game. Nice rbi producer from the 8 spot in my lineup. Had two hitting streaks of around 20 games.
I'd definitely use him again. For that price, an amazing deal.

I've got Parent for the first time in a 50 million league. I've been pleasantly surprised - especially by his inexplicable homers.

The guy has a 1-2 HR chance on 7 vs LH and 6 vs RH, and he's got 13 homers already. And he hit a bunch for Bobby - something's fishy.

Bobby,
I used Parent as my SS on my Barnstormer's Championship League team:

He actually led the team in RBI's. I said then that I'd use him again, but still haven't pulled the trigger. :D

I've never used Parent.....but you have too many RPs on that team
You should trade Baumgartner for Pesky to solve both problems

Sure looks like it. Just remember, defense can kill.

For what it's worth I used H. Wagner tons of times....goes down for 15 games often, commits tons of errors (50 or more) and costs 5M more. Is it the 1 on D that Wagner gets drafted everytime and Parent never? What am I missing?
