The thought occurred to me on another thread why not back Bush up with Crosetti. Take advantage of Bush's offense then use Crosetti's def. How about this sportsmans team. Will it work? What do you guys think?

SPs- Lemon, Willis, Willett, Vuck
RPs- Perranoski, Tincup, Miller, McEnaney, Aguilera

Parrish c
Judge 1b
Gehringer 2b
Riggs 3b
Bush/ Crosetti ss
J. Jackson lf
Mays cf
R Jackson rf.

I've used Bush and although his offense was respectable, I think his errors were pushing 80 by the end. My .02 would be keep Crosetti and send Bush back to his ranch.

If Frankie takes 20% of the fielding chances (which might be high) that Bush gets and makes 1/3 the errors, then you would save about 10 errors over the length of the season (1/3 of 20% of 75 errors if my logic is correct). $1M for 10 errors seems high, but it could be 2-3 games/year if it is late in the game.

With your lineup, not sure where $1M makes a major improvement, so go for it!

That was my thought that the extra mil was just hanging. I also thought I could start Crosetti in pitchers parks to help my starters. Then Bush is a good pinch hitter late in the game.

I think you have a reasonable idea. I've used Crosetti as a backup SS before for Wagner. And Bush is so much cheaper.

And Grindi, just ignore the peanut gallery. Maybe someday it will go away.

Bush has plenty of offense, but his errors cannot be covered period. There is no defense, we can only hope that his offense is limited...

sorry, sometimes Friday nights get the best of me...
