Strategy question

This came up in a netplay game recently and was wondering what people here thought. I'll try to give as much detail as possible.

The game is using the 1934 set.

Bottom of the 9th, 5-4 men on 1st and 3rd 2 outs. Lou Gehrig up. He's a monster in '34, but about halfway through the season he is struggling--only 6 Hrs'. Guy on deck(Vosmik) hit .341 in '34 with good doubles and is hitting near .400. He bats right and is an E. I believe he has a slight negative clutch. Gehrig's clutch is slightly positive.

The pitcher is a 4R and is about the only decent pitcher left. No lefty in the pen.

Do you walk Gehrig and push the winning run to 2B?

I'll let you know what happened in a bit. I'd like to hear what some think.

Well, no matter how he's struggling, his '34 card doesn't know that. I would walk him and get the force at any base.

But that's me and I have a notoriously unfounded trust in my pitchers and defense :D

...what speed does the runner on base ahead of Gehrig have????......if he's a 16 or 17...i'll take my chances w/ Gehrig and pitch to him....
