Like the hitting, except Doran at leadoff.

Someone with experience on Cleon can tell you if he's a leadoff candidate.

Brett Mays Jackson Cepeda is a tough stretch for pitchers, but I'd drop Reggie against LHP, he drops off a bit, and Cepeda will fare well in the spot.

Maybe Mays Cepeda Brett Jackson vs LHP? Brett will still hit well, but IMO, not well enough for the 3 hole with this many options.

Good luck.

I don't like Doran as a lead-off hitter, even though he has great speed.

I think I would bat them this way:

C. Jones
Brett
Mays
Jackson
Cepeda
Berra
Doran
Peckinpaugh

just my 2 cents worth

I see you had waivers Dean....nice squad!

My thoughts...

Although you have a fearsome lineup, you lack a true "leadoff" man...

I know you are a big fan of R.Jackson, and I really like him also in a true sluggers park...but I think you would be better served in this instance with Selkirk, and use him as your leadoff man. Not ideal (like cuyler, kelller), but certainly has great obp, decent speed, a * stealer, and a lefty. I prefer Keller, but would not play him in rf, unless i had to. For what it is worth, I think C.Jones is a decent/good leadoff man, although I prefer him in the 2 hole.

My order would look like this

Selkirk
Brett
Mays
Williams
Cepeda
Peckinpaugh
Grote
Evers

Kind of a tough lineup, 5 GREAT hitters, and 3 average to poor....

Left handed lineup I would leave the same. Not ideal, as I don't really like Brett that high vs lefties, but I don't see any real option. Could put Peckinpaugh there (decent TB's, and can bunt at least), and bat Brett 5-6.

My .02 :)
