I always play with teams with more pitching but I had a credit and I am trying a power team. Picked up Teddy, is he worth the $14m? I am going back and forth because I don't usually play power teams. Would like thoughts, thanks.

I think I need more balance as well. When I picked up Teddy, I already knew I would probably waive him again. My strength is balanced teams usually in West Side Park but having an offensive team once in a while is ok too.

Yes, Teddy is GREAT, and will put up BIG numbers...but I find that you can get 2 very good to great players for what he costs you, and I agree, I prefer balance throughout the lineup,especially on hitting teams.

That being said, unless I get Mays, I have a VERY hard time resisting the MICK when left unguarded after the draft (which he usually is!) :wink:

Hope I'm wrong, but I don't see this team as a contender with offensive holes at c, ss & 2b and weak SP.

I hear ya and you are right. I have not been satisfied with the team from the start and shows my inexperience with power teams so I decided to do wjat I know best and go more neutral. I picked up Keller to lead off and play LF and McDougald to bat in the 2 hole. In progress for sure. I will post the revised team in a bit.

Second base is always a challenge anda great shortage of quality there.

I'd probably keep Evers & upgrade catcher/SP.
