THE BACKWARDS TEAM ....

Take a look at this team:

With the way my hitters are performing, can you believe they are #1 in their league in run scoring after 21 games????????

Then take a look at my pitching staff, can you believe they are #11 in the league in runs allowed.

I'm thoroughly confused by this team .............. :?

Way to early to draw any conclusions. With your RS vs RA you should have 10 wins. Your RPG is great given your OBP and SLG, you should have about 82 runs. Your ERA is not that bad, not sure it will get much better. Meusel, Honus, Simmons and Chance are fine. There must be a few good LHs in your division?

This is a great example of why I just dumped Morgan, 7 LHs in my division, I could stand to see him hit .217. :)

Check back at game 50.

You've had 6 losses at home: 3 by two runs and 3 others by one run. That's enough to give anyone a headache! :x But I certainly wouldn't read into it this early. The other interesting factors are:
1) Ford just not getting run support, but this league (I'm in it with you) is SO pitcher dominant that Whitey as a #1 starter may get outdualed more than normal. In any other League he'd be considered a decent bet as a #1. Here he's lower eschelon.
2) Gene Nelson is killing you in the early going, but that won't last.

Couldn't agree more with Sschu. This does not look like a sub .500 team to me at all and the pendulum always swings back the other way in time. :)
