Is Wathan going to be your backup first baseman?

I would change that. I would also look at the deadball era outfielders like Snodgrass, Schulte, Clarke even Sheckard.

Willie Wilson would be a good guy to have on this team if available to bat against lefties and for pinch running. I would also drop my low end to 2.46 to allow the acquisition of Devore and Merkle.

Like the theme. I will have to get back to working on my own wacky theme just need to find enough guys who qualify to fit my roster. It will take a bit of research to expand the roster. It is an unusual one.

Brilliant!

I'm gonna need to follow your progress.

Why no love for Freddy Clarke? He is still one of my favorites, and an extra super double supreme ATG secret still...until now.

Yes, Wathan and Judge are the only two first basemen on the team. I will look at Clarke. I had him on my netplay team and he was great, although a different season. I am, as always, dazzled by the triples by Evans. And as for reducing the lower limit to less than 2.5 million, then there would be players with salaries closer to 2 mil. than the threes, and that is simply unacceptable!

What a brilliant theme, with an equally brilliant name! 8)

I agree on the Clarke sentiment. Office is brutal even in a platoon role. Lou Johnson or Leibold would be better. Evans hit .175 in a full time role for me in 90 games the one time I tried him.

Pitching - I'd consider replacing either Perry or Bell with another RH reliever - are Tincup or Harris available?

Good luck - hope it doesn't have a typical 78-84 Treyomo record.

The Treyomos have roared out to a 9-3 start. One of the things which becomes immediately apparent is that because of the uniformity of the salaries, there is consistancy amongst the pitchers. It really does not matter what HAL does with them. I set the starters, which really matters in this league because there are teams which are remarkably onehanded for some reason, but I left the relievers completely under the control of HAL.

I have been platooning Aparicio and Fletcher, with Luis playing only vs. lefties. I am torn about this, and we'll see how the season goes...whether it looks like the offense or defense needs a boost. Fletcher invariably crushes the ball for me, for some reason.

An update on the TREYOMOS, my 2.51-3.99 million dollar theme team. I tinkered some to try to improve the efficiency of the expenditures, and goose the offense, especially against righties. Gone are Aparicio, Fletcher, Dave Henderson, the dismal Doran, the anemic hitting Boone, and in are Reese at SS, Barrett and Backman at 2B, and a lefty stick at catcher with Sullivan. Still in the hunt, in first, despite a 21-21 record. I will try to be even more selective in spotting my starters, as the dismal performance so far by Kaat suggests that I could do more here.
