Any help or comments greatly appreciated.

Has anyone used Marquard at Forbes?

One man's opinion:
1. If someone in the Boyd, Nolan, Knepper mold became available, I'd downsize Leifield. I think your other pitching is very good.
2. Players I would strongly consider that are available: Luderus, any of the ss 1s of Concepcion, Peckinpaugh, Bush or Aparicio), Gibson or Schalk at c, with a cheap backup, & C. Jones. You can also do better than Oliva...how good depends on how your $$ gets reallocated after some other moves. Best of luck!

Another man's opinion : You could downgrade Liefield for a Knepper , Holtzman , McNally type . Longborg will disappoint , Boyd ,Nolan ,Bagby Sr., Wilson , even for a 5th starter , Hunter, Petry . You definately need more run production guys. I been on this Jim Rice for smallball teams and he's very good there. You could upgrade the hitting definately .

Thanks. I've made some changes. Pickings are pretty thin on the wire.

One question ... Why do you have Pierce? With Worrell and Eck and your starters, you should be fine. Money could be used elsewhere.

Ewwwww, Goslin must go. His D will kill a smallball team.

I pretty much like everything else now.

Was thinking about Pierce as a setup guy from both sides.

IMHO, it's a waste. You've got enough pitching.

Also, if you're gonna keep Goslin, you might wanna look at Patsy Dougherty, similar production, similar defense, for a lot less money.

Picked up Rice, dropped Pierce, picked up Camnitz and Roberts. I will probably lose more 2-1 games than anyone in history.

I appreciate the help, guys.

my 2 cents is that with your starting rotation, i would be on conservative relief. let the big 3 go as long as they can. dont know what other division parks are but seems that the eck money could be spread a little. take his money and maybe get a couple pen guys round 2.5 and drop the .50 guys. with their money and extra eck money maybe upgrade on offense for a lil more obp on offense. that may make a jim rice a valentine or ennis. and with that defense and staff with your park i would even consider a bush for aparicio move if the other parks lean on pitching parks. my thoughts are to manufactor runs and his obp could be a plus at top of lineup. again just my thoughts. good luck.

Here are the competing parks-- ran by some savvy vets, too. If I had any sense, I'd take your advice and find a lefty (Musial would be fabulous) for the middle of the lineup. On the plus side, I have some pretty solid doubles hitters and am hoping Dawson is awesome. I just hate to let Eck go-- if you have a lead going into the ninth, he is lights out.

Decisons...
