ATGII Blacklist League?

This got popular toward the end of ATGI. Was wondering if we could get 12 owners out there interested in an ATGII version so we can see what some of the lesser used players can do.
Proposing we blacklist the top 20 most used players at each offensive position. And then the 60 most used SPs and 40 most used RPs. Or something like that. We can hammer out the parameters once we start filling the league.
I propose it to be an $80M league with DH, live draft or waivers makes no difference to me.

In the meantime, I'll start working on a list of forbidden players.
Ran a league like this some time ago in ATG2.

We started with a corp of restrictive rules, and then all owners got to vote on players they wanted banned. Here is a copy of our final rules. Maybe it will give you some ideas for your league. Good luck. :)

Why would you want to waste $25 on this league? You can already play in a league like that by playing the 1969 game -- a vast dearth of talent at all positions except SP.

Just a silly question, but by banning all players 8M and up, did you find that you had trouble getting close to $80M? It almost sounds like the concept would lend itself well to a $60M league.

Count me in. Prefer a live draft but am okay with an autodraft.

I wouldn't want to ban all players over $8M. Just those used almost always in $80M leagues. The goal is not to have no star players. It's to use players few often use.
For instance, I'd be all for allowing Scott, Garcia, Ojeda, Koosman, etc., as well as Williams (maybe), Stargell, Schmidt, Campanella, Stephenson...

I agree that a live draft would be nice since strategy will be key.

I played in the league Modmark is talking about and there was no problem getting to 80M..... it doesn't take long to get to 80M if you have several 7M players... if I remember correct, we all choose 4 or 5 players each, that we disqualified (that was under 8M)....
