Ive never used him, but looking at things, he is probably the best hitting 3b in his price range (4.5-5.5M) with a 1 defensive range. I would say if you didnt mind dropping to a 2 range, you would probably get decent hitting out of other options such as Rolfe, Dykes, or Kurowski.

If you are insistent on keeping a 1 at 3B I would look for a cheaper option, like J. Collins. If you don't mind a two MD pointed out a couple of options and I would also throw in Steinfeldt & Jackie Robinson.

Great suggestions. Thanks guys. I have used Boyer before and was pleased with the results. But that was in Sportsman's '46. Wasn't sure if he would tank in Forbes. He didn't look too bad on diamond dope. Jackie Robinson became available so I snagged him. I don't think a 3 at 3B will hurt too much.
Thanks a lot.

Boyer will disappoint at Forbes. I really like Steinfeldt, Rolfe, or Boggs there if I'm looking for offensive help. Otherwise Collins is a good choice and beef up elsewhere.

Thanks Grindi. I'm a big Steinfeldt fan, but so is someone else....he's gone. So is Rolfe. Boggs may be available but I'd have to free up some cash to sign him. Dykes and Kurowski were available last I knew, Collins isn't. I may just keep Robinson at 3B. I've never used him but it seems he'd be good on a small ball team.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
