Bad link

Postby cplake » Sun Dec 18, 2005 8:34 am

hfs,

That link is bad. Go to your league's statistics page and hover your mouse over your team's name. Then right click the mouse button and choose "copy shortcut" (left click on that) from the drop down menu. Then come back to your post (choose edit from your original) and right click in this white box. Choose "paste" and viola! The URL should have your league's ID number at the end instead of the .html. Then brace yourself for some laughing and finger pointing. Just kidding :D . You will get some great advice from the vets in ATGII (lots of good guys here).

Also, what are the other ballparks in your division?

First, I would run to the waiver wire and pick up 1) Gehringer or 2) McDougald to replace the underperformer Dick McAuliffe.

Secondly, I would give very serious thought to replacing Dwight Evans with Roberto. If there are too few LH starters in your division/league then Enos might become my second choice, but I doubt it.

Thirdly, Oil Can and Knepper show up on strato resource's waiver list. I don't believe that. But if it is true then grab 1) Boyd or 2) Knepper.

Lastly, you have two batters with 595 plate appearances, Hodges and Bench. I'd write a nasty letter to Strats explaining that if they can determine a dead ball era player's base stealing rating and catchers' arm strength then it would be very simple to determine a sac fly rate for batters. [Take the sac fly average per AB from 1980 to 1995 and apply that at a different rate for fly ball through ground ball rated hitters.] Of course for Bench and many others just check their stats. Sure, more than likely their price would go up but the reward is more realistic durability and plate appearances would be almost that. We can discuss IBBs later.(End of rant.)

I agree with most of Maxie's rant . I'm not sure this is a good place for Koosman either . Seaver will be ok . Thomas and Evans together ...hhmmm.. One or the other is ok but not both .
