I know a hitter's PA affect the length of a possible injury. Is there a similar formula for pitchers based on innings pitched?

I believe 200+ IP pitcher can only be injured for 3 games max.

I have read of pitchers with 200+ innings injured for more than 3 games though I understand it is rare for any * pitcher to get injured for more than 3 games. I think I remember reading once on the old boards a thread where the consensus was 300+ innings to guarantee no more than a 3 game injury.
Probably need confirmation from those who play 10 times as much as me though.

Valen, I believe you are correct. Any * pitcher with 200+ innings gets the max 3 game injury.

However, a pitcher with more than 200 IP and no * (and there are some, for some Halforsaken reason) can be hurt for 15 games. Same goes for a pitcher with an * who did not pitch 200 IP.
Thing I don't understand (among many) is why bother injuring a pitcher for 3 games max if he can pitch on three days' rest. It's the same as not injuring him at all (except for the remainder of the game he was injured in).
