Do IP affect the length of pitcher injuries?

I think I remember reading once on the old boards a thread where the consensus was 300+ innings to guarantee no more than a 3 game injury.
Probably need confirmation from those who play 10 times as much as me though. :wink:

Posted: Sat Dec 31, 2005 3:03 amHowever, a pitcher with more than 200 IP and no * (and there are some, for some Halforsaken reason) can be hurt for 15 games. Same goes for a pitcher with an * who did not pitch 200 IP.
Thing I don't understand (among many) is why bother injuring a pitcher for 3 games max if he can pitch on three days' rest. It's the same as not injuring him at all (except for the remainder of the game he was injured in).
