Why no love for Joe Gordon?

I see Flash Gordon on the FA wire all the time now. He used to be highly popular in ATGI. What happened?

Several good second baseman with good OBP who cannot get injured were added. To get the most out of Gordon you need to be in a high # park. But from what I read on boards and see in leagues more people are going for pitcher parks in ATG2 which minimizes Gordon's potential.

His price went up a touch, too.
From 5.01 to 6.16. With the new pricing, his bargain home run value went down.

His good defensive stats just don't justify the expense unless you're playing in a hitters park and a league of hitters parks. U can get better 2B defense cheaper and can just about spend the money u save to get the same or better BA and OBP elsewhere. If u get fewer than 15 HRs and 75 RBIs out of your 2B, u are in the same boat as almost every other team in your league. I've also found Gordon doesn't hit righties very well in many situations.

I've used him a couple of times with good numbers. One of the rare second baseman with decent fielding (a 1 range) good power and good speed. Of course he does do better in a hitter;s park and is a bit expensive, but when the other handful of really good second baseman are gone, i find him a nice option.

Gehringer, McDougald and Fox were added. They are all better and all cheaper.
