Fenway 86 Lineup

This is a lineup in a serious vet keeper league (100M)... which I'm not real comfortable asking advice about because of it... but too bad! I took this team over last season with a small park configuration, so I am trying to adjust and have changed stadiums... have already dispensed of Cochrane and Chance.... added Hack and Mathews.
Anyway... other three teams are all HR/hitter parks.
1. Cobb, Ty (L) RF
2. Wagner, Honus (R) SS
3. Wilson, Hack (R) DH
4. Dimaggio, Joe (R) CF
5. Mathews, Eddie (L) 3B
6. Stephenson, Riggs (R) LF
7. Murray, Eddie (S) 1B
8. Schalk, Ray (R) C
9. Evers, Johnny (L) 2B
Some options out there would be...
1. Cravath for Riggs, add a Freehan/Bailey/Meyers/Collins/Davis at C
2. Cravath for Riggs, add a combo at C of Rice and w/ Simmons/Tebbets/Crandall/Ruel/Mancuso.
3. Rice or Buford for Riggs and add a Tom Haller at C.
4. Rice or Buford for Riggs and add Doerr at 2B.
Second option doesn't seems to make any sense.
I may be overthinking this thing a bit, but wanted to throw it out there.

Well Novie, I'm not sure I would have picked up Mathews given the configuration of Fenway 86. The HR 1-7 he has there significantly reduces his value. Cochrane would have been fine there, especially to hold all the runners on base so dp's are enhanced. Wilson is certainly fine there as a dh. The heuristic I use for Fenway 86 -- and that's where I've been playing a lot lately -- is righthanded power and lefthanded OBP and hitting. I would have held on to Chance too for the same reason I wouldn't have picked up Mathews. Murray against righhanders just loses too much value there. Given that the differences between teams is often very slight, why make any moves that don't maximize value, even with the 100 M cap. Freehan would be my choice of catchers of the one's you list. I love Bailey but again, not in Fenway 86.
The same concept with the pitching. Thus Oil Can is truly at home there. :)

My problem was that the other 3 parks in the division, with MASSIVE offenses, are Veterans, Yankee 27, and Fenway 67. When I took this team over, it was in Forbes and Joe D was the only power player... the team had won like 65 games. First year I stayed in Forbes and added a little power... made it to 80 wins. So this year I tried to up the power a little more and add a little bigger park. Trying to progress to a hitters park team next season.
I may have jumped a little fasster than I wanted, but may still go back and add Chance in again and get Freehan for some power... guess Chance/Freehan may be better than Schalk/Murray.
Side note: Anyone ever use Dusty Baker? His card looks like it could work here and would free up 3M in place of Riggo.

I'd try George Foster first.

Made some changes, including upgrading a SP.
1. Chance, Frank (R) 1B
2. Wagner, Honus (R) SS
3. Cobb, Ty (L) RF
4. Wilson, Hack (R) DH
5. Dimaggio, Joe (R) CF
6. Mathews, Eddie (L) 3B
7. Foster, George (R) LF
8. Doerr, Bobby (R) 2B
9. Yeager, Steve (R) C
Still have about .65 to use, so may likely change out Yeager. Team is awfully right handed.

Cobb really isn't a good fit here. I'd swap him for some power. That Hummer team has some, I think. :D
