draft position?

when i joined my first lge, i was the last team to enter ( 12th team ). then i noticed that i got the 12th draft pick. i thought it was a random draw. is it a draw or is it based on what position you enter the lge at that your draft position comes from?

when you said you got the 12th pick?
I'm pretty sure you mean in waivers.....
And what that means, is that you got the more players on your draft card, than any other manager did in that league
entering 12th and picking 12th in waivers is purely coincidental
