Fatigue?

Here's the scenario:
Carlton pitched game one last night, went 7 innings, got the win.
In game three, he was called upon to pitch in relief in an extra inning game. Well, the game went 21 innings, Carlton hurling 8 shutout innings for the win (WOW). But, he is scheduled to pitch in game 2 tonight - three days rest.
After 15 innings in three games, will he be fatigued tonight?
Or does HAL not recognize his relief outing, since Carlton cannot normally pitch in relief?
I have never quite figured this out...

Hal would recognize the fatigue . Rest him if you can or a good chance he'll get lit up . Maybe you can jockey the rotation until it gets back on track .

I am in the same boat with you. Hard to believe he threw 8 fatigued shutout innings on one day's rest. I'd keep him in the rotation and see what happens.

Well, since I have been buried at work, I had no time to even plop in a spot starter, which I could have done with Frock, Tudor and Aguilera in the pen....

Oh well.... we'll see what happens.
